I decided to give my CNC Router a good start to the 2017 New Year by re-surfacing its MDF Spoil Board. A couple of years ago I uploaded a similar video. However this time I think I achieved a better result by using a different cutter. I know lots of people have published videos already on this topic but this is just my way of doing it. In particular, finishing the board with a Clear Satin Varnish that aids greatly when using Double Sided Tape to hold down the work piece. It also seals the board from absorbing moisture or any liquids that may spill on it. Especially as I use Shellite* to clean the surface of any DS Tape glue residue.
Note that before starting I prepare the board by coating the underside and edges with the clear varnish so that it is fully sealed.
*Shellite also known as Lighter Fuel, Naptha or White Spirit depending on what country you live in.
